We are excited to present an entry level Sales & Marketing Coordinator opportunity for a motivated individual who is excited to learn about the coating industry. This individual will be an assistant to the Director of Business Development, with ability to grow and evolve as part of a highly technical coating company.

The ideal candidate will have 1- to 3-years of sales/marketing experience and must be a highly motivated self-starter with a desire to become an integral part of a growing organization that is currently experiencing explosive growth. The final candidate will work side by side with our Director of Business Development and will learn the ins and outs of the coating industry in a small business environment from one of the best!

North American Coating Laboratories is locally, regionally, and nationally recognized as a highly profitable and rapidly growing organization. Recently, North American Coating Laboratories has won the INC. 5000 (2019), Weatherhead 100 (2018, 2019), and Fast Track 50 (2011, 2017, 2018, 2019).

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Working closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs
  • Providing technical support for resolving customer challenges
  • Prospecting and developing new customer relationships while managing and maintaining these customers to grow successfully
  • Understanding of the coating industry and competitor knowledge – learned on the job
  • Engage in problem solving by interpreting data and providing recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Providing proactive updated quotes to customers
  • Regular review of industry trade journals, organizations and trade shows for relevance to attend
  • Occasional travel for customer visits and/or tradeshows

Preferred knowledge/skills:

  • Experience with prospecting beneficial
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees and customers at all levels
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High-level understanding of the entire MS Office Suite, Excel and Outlook especially
  • Basic to intermediate HTML and web design understanding beneficial; experience with WordPress content management system a bonus
  • General understanding of the following:
  • Survey Monkey
  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook/Twitter for Business
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Forms

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree a plus; major related to marketing and/or business preferred

Previous experience:

  • 1- to 3-years prior experience in a sales and/or marketing environment
